Instructions for Calculating Telescopic Gates on a Monorail

Calculation Methodology and "KSV Formula" Parameters

A1 / A2 Entrance width or rollback space (interdependent parameters)
A5 Overlap of section No. 1 behind the post (tail section) — 20 cm
A6 Section No. 2 entry into the catcher — 10 cm
A7 Section-to-section overlap — 20 cm

Automation Installation Features

Automation for telescopic gates
Increased Rollback: When the "With Automation" option is selected, the rollback space increases by 30 cm. The length of the sections remains unchanged.
Rack Mounting: A gear rack bracket is installed on section No. 1, extending 30 cm beyond the section limits. In total, 50 cm (A5+30cm) is required for the operator.

Synchronization Mechanism: Working Principle

As the main section (S1) moves, the second section (S2) follows via the cable mechanism. The system ensures smooth travel and simultaneous stopping of both gate leaves at the designated points.

Synchronization scheme

Cable Routing Scheme (Loop H1-H2-H3-H4-H1):

  • Point H1: Anchor point (automation base).
  • Point H2: First roller on section S1.
  • Point H3: Pass-through via section S2 hitch (installed with an offset of up to 10 cm from the edge in the overlap zone).
  • Point H4: Second roller on section S1.
  • Final: Cable return and fixation at the starting point H1.
